Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information huntTMS collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices and rights you have under United States federal and state privacy laws. It applies to the huntTMS web platform, the huntTMS Driver mobile app, and this website.
1. Who we are
huntTMS is a transportation management platform operated by LoadHunter ("huntTMS", "we", "us", "our"), a company based in the United States. It includes the huntTMS web application for dispatch teams and carriers, the huntTMS Driver mobile app (distributed through the App Store, Google Play, and as a Telegram Mini App), and this website.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@loadhunter.io or +1 (312) 878-9795.
2. Information we collect
Account and contact information (identifiers). Name, email address, phone number, company details, and role, provided when an account is created for you or by you.
Operational business data (commercial information). Loads, stops, rates, brokers, invoices, settlements, expenses, fleet and equipment records, and related documents that your organization enters into the platform or uploads to it (for example rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof-of-delivery photos, compliance documents).
Geolocation data. Collected only through the driver app, as described in Section 3.
Communications. Messages exchanged through the platform's built-in chat between drivers and their dispatch team, and support communications with us.
Technical data (internet or network activity). Log data, device and browser information, IP address, and identifiers needed to operate the service (such as authentication tokens and push notification tokens).
We collect this information directly from you, from your organization when it provisions your account, and automatically from your device when you use the service. We do not collect biometric information, and we do not use the data above for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3. The huntTMS Driver mobile app
The driver app collects the following, only for the purposes described:
- Location. With your permission, the app reports the device's GPS position while you are signed in and working an assigned load, so your dispatch team can see progress on the live map and the app can provide turn-by-turn guidance. Location is not collected when the app has no permission or you are signed out.
- Camera and photos. Used only when you choose to scan or upload a document (bill of lading, proof of delivery, receipts) or attach a photo in chat. The app never accesses your library or camera in the background.
- Phone number / Telegram account. Used to verify your identity at sign-in (SMS one-time code, or the Telegram account id when the app runs as a Telegram Mini App).
- Push notification tokens. Used to deliver load, chat, and dispatch notifications you have enabled. Tokens are removed when you sign out.
You can delete your driver account and its associated app data directly in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by contacting us at support@loadhunter.io.
4. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and secure the platform and its features.
- To show your dispatch team the operational data they need (load status, position on active loads, uploaded documents).
- To process documents you upload — including automated extraction of load details from rate confirmations you submit for analysis.
- To send service notifications you have enabled, and to respond to support requests.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
5. Text messages (SMS)
We use SMS for sign-in verification codes and, where enabled, for service notifications you have requested. By providing your phone number you consent to receive these operational messages. Message frequency varies with your use of the service; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential messages or HELP for help — note that opting out of verification codes may prevent SMS-based sign-in. We do not send marketing text messages, and phone numbers collected for SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
6. How information is shared
Information is shared only as needed to run the service:
- Within your organization. Operational data is visible to the members of your company or dispatch team according to their roles. Chat messages are visible only to the participants of a conversation.
- Service providers. Infrastructure and processing vendors acting on our instructions — for example cloud hosting and file storage, SMS verification delivery, push notification delivery, mapping and routing services, and AI document-extraction processing. They may process data only to provide their service to us and are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- Legal. When required by law — for example in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request by public authorities — or to protect the rights, safety, or property of huntTMS, our users, or others.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The platform uses cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to operate the service — keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and protecting against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we do not track users across third-party sites, the service does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals; where a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal applies to a sale or sharing opt-out, it is honored automatically because we do not sell or share personal information in the first place.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service to your organization, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where a longer retention period is required by law (for example tax, accounting, or transportation record-keeping requirements) or by our legitimate business needs (such as records of completed transactions). Deleted driver accounts have their app access and personal identifiers removed; operational records that belong to the carrier or dispatch organization (completed loads, settlements) remain part of that organization's data.
9. Security
We protect data in transit with TLS, restrict access through role-based permissions and tenant isolation, proxy document downloads through authenticated endpoints, and limit employee access to production data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information in line with industry practice. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable state and federal law.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: know/access the personal information we hold about you (including the categories collected, the purposes, and the categories of third parties it is disclosed to); correct inaccurate personal information; delete personal information; obtain a portable copy of it; and opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising — noting that we do not sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise a right, email support@loadhunter.io with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your identity (typically by confirming control of the email or phone number on the account) and respond within the period required by your state's law — generally 45 days, extendable once where permitted. You may use an authorized agent, in which case we may require proof of authorization. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if the appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers, commercial information, geolocation data, internet/network activity, professional information, and audio/visual information (documents and photos you upload), for the business purposes described in Sections 2–4. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months. Because huntTMS processes most operational data as a service provider to your carrier or dispatch organization, we may direct requests concerning that data to your organization, which controls it.
11. Children
The service is intended for business use by adults, is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (per the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Where data is processed
huntTMS is operated from the United States and data is processed and stored on infrastructure located in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and, where appropriate, notified in the product. Your continued use of the service after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
